The meeting space resembles "growing" as it is where the two clients meet and discuss. This allows them to gain greater understandings and allow one powerful person to talk to another. They can relate to each other and this space empowers them to grow and expand their knowledge.
The dining table incorporates both clients. Obama's elevator contains blue and Prada's elevator contains black. Therefore both have equal value at this table, where they come together as equals. The dining table suggests the different aspects of each of their lives, in which some they have no control over.
Obama's Space:
Obama's elevator incorporates levels and years in which Obama has gradually made it to the top. Once out of the elevator it is clear how much power he has and that the world revolves around him and his decisions.
Obama's space allows him to look out over the world. He is in control and therefore this resembles his space as allowing him to look down upon people and ensure the safety of his people.
Prada's Space:
Prada's space has many levels and creativity to resemble the fashion industry. It is funky and modern to allow the diverse needs of a designer. She too has windows and a balcony looking out into the world. This allows her too gain a better understanding of the people, to be able to continue creating world loved fashion.
Prada's elevator shows her ups and downs, and the fact that she is facing some unknown times ahead. However as she rises above it and makes it to the top she faces the world again and is "at the top", in which she has been for many, many years, and many more to come.
The runway is a major part of a fashion designer's career. Prada's power is vibrant and noticeable on her very successful runways. Seeing models sporting her gowns is simply irresistible. Therefore I have decided to incorporate these ideas into her space, as this is where she feels her emotions and her fashion comes to life. It is a place where she can relate to, as well as feel a sense of inspiration and knowledge.
The Dining Table is very unique and interesting. It incorporates jigsaw pieces into the design to resemble many aspects that Obama and Prada deal with. The fact that their very powerful, prominant people and their lines of work often has many obstacles and hurdles in which they must make the correct decisions. They may have many failures but in the end they are both very successful. They have many goals and agendas that fit together like a puzzle.
This feedback has been very useful and has helped me to take into consideration ideas my peers have in order to make my ideas better and to be able to develop them in a deeper more interesting way. They have shown great interest in my work and I thank them for the many ideas they have given me, which will inspire me to create what I believe will be a great
Barack Obama's elevator is open and gives an elegant and eye-catching approach. The many floating particles represent levels of command, in which Obama has climbed these ranks to get to Presidancy. They also represent the many long journeys he has had to get to where he is today. The elegance and open-ness also represents the world revolving around Obama. Due to his power, he has control, and his actions and decisions determine the many critical issues the world has to deal with.
Prada's Elevator:
Prada's elevator is quite different to Obama. It is more enclosed and half of it is enclosed completely. The first half with a view openings represents her being in the spotlight. However it is different to Obama, as it is her fashion that gets the limelight and many people would be able to spot a Prada Gown, than Prada herself. The second enclosed part will be black which allows the effect of unknowing as she is currently facing difficulties with money which was stated in the article I read, as well as the many variables she has to deal with, and being in the fashion industry has its ups and downs. To be the best, you have to be able to come up with new and fashionable ideas. Prada is one of, if not, the best at this.
These images have given me many ideas and have inspired me to create an elegant and aesthetically pleasing piece of architecture. I want Obama to feel comfortable as if he is at home, and therefore I will incorporate elements of the white house into his space. This will show the power he has as well as putting him in a place where he can relate to.
I chose this perspective to create my pathways as i based this on the word "balanced". I believe in order to be powerful you need to have balance otherwise it becomes easy to let the power get to your head, or on the other hand the fear of going downwards in a spiral motion. Obama and Prada both portray this quality of power which has enabled them to become powerful figures and well-liked, well-rounded individuals.

And more often than not, they win.If they handle it right, it could be their century!
